Toni Basil rose to fame in the '80s with her hit song 'Mickey.' (She was a big fan of Walt Disney's work.) This track can still be heard at my friend Francesca's place whenever she holds one of her 'must attend' karaoke nights. Before Toni Basil became a 'one hit wonder,' she made an appearance in the film 'Easyrider.' She played a prostitute that the Fonda & Hopper characters befriend in New Orleans. The scene in New Orleans was actually the first footage filmed for the movie. Hopper did a lot of drugs & continued to do so for the next 25 years. He's since become a prolific art collector
