Saffron 0.5G 'Sargoal Grade'


This Iranian saffron represents the highest grading possible, being pure stigmas, with the presence of very few styles. The flavour notes exhibited by this grading - floral-like & honey-like with an oaked wine tenacious aroma - are quite pronounced. The sought after colour of saffron is quickly revealed by soaking a pinch of strands in warm water for ten minutes. The robustness of its flavour makes it well suited to flavouring hearty slow cooked meat dishes of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean or Persian origin
