Moujadara Recipe October 12 2014
- 500g lentils
- 2 cups coarse burghul
- 4 cups water
- 1 onion – diced
- 3 teaspoons of oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- Boil the lentils for 10 minutes – drain.
- Add the water and the burghul and mix.
- Fry the onion in the oil until beginning to brown.
- Place on top of the lentil and burghul mix. Cover and cook on low heat until the water has been absorbed.
- Serve with tabouli, turnips and tzatziki.
